WHY VERNISSAGE

How Vernissage
began

It began with a wish to discover beautiful things, learn their stories, and keep them close for longer.

I love going out to see beautiful things: a work that catches my eye in a museum, a landscape I stumble upon while travelling, or a small scene from an ordinary day that stays with me.

There are so many beautiful things in the world that I do not know yet. When I find a work I like, I become curious about the story inside it; learning about its artist leads me to other works and new museums. I love the way one curiosity leads to another discovery.

I wanted a place where artists, artworks, museums, exhibitions and the stories inside them could be explored comfortably together. A place that makes both finding what you know and discovering an unexpected new interest a little easier and more joyful.

Even the works and exhibitions we love fade from memory over time. I wanted somewhere to gather what I have seen and what I want to see, and to take it out again whenever I like.

Vernissage began from these feelings: a place to discover, get to know, and carefully keep the moments that move us.

You do not need deep knowledge of art. Finding something you like, getting to know it a little more, and remembering a good moment can be enough.
